Century City Real Estate

Century City is a special destination for work, entertainment, dining, housing, retail and hotels, all within walking distance of each other. Its distinctive skyline and recognizable landmarks include Fox Plaza’s Nakatomi skyscaper (known as the “Die Hard” building), the bustling, open-air shopping mecca Westfield Century City, and the unique Annenberg Space for Photography.

Century City originated as the backlot of 20th Century Fox. With the advent of television representing tough competition for the studio, along with a string of expensive studio flops and budgeting issues, the film studio sold about 180 acres to a developer in 1961. The new owners eventually developed and deemed Century City as a “city within a city, “ which was designed with pedestrian bridges and wide boulevards to ease crowding. Today, Century City is a center for business and commerce in Los Angeles, and is one of the metropolitan area’s most prominent employment centers.
